Heather Daniels

Heather Daniels

MSW, LCSW-A

Heather Daniels is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s moments that stretch and shape them. She provides compassionate, evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, and adults, supporting them through mental and emotional hurdles in a warm and welcoming space.

Heather holds a Master of Social Work from Western Carolina University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Public Health from UNC Charlotte. Her approach combines cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. As a highly sensitive person, Heather especially enjoys working with others who are highly sensitive or gentle-hearted, helping them navigate the world with care and attunement. She is also committed to creating a neurodivergent- and LGBTQ+ affirming environment for all clients.

Her clinical focus includes maternal and women’s mental health, particularly perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. As a trained birth and postpartum doula and a mother herself, Heather blends professional expertise with personal insight. She pays close attention to how symptoms of depression and anxiety can manifest physically, bridging mind and body in treatment.

Heather shares her practice with Bear, her black goldendoodle therapy dog, whose calming presence helps clients of all ages feel at ease. Outside of work, Heather enjoys iced coffee and walks by the lake with her family, Bear, and their other pup, Luna, who lovingly holds down the fort at home.
