Ashley Turbeville

Ashley is a North Carolina Board-Certified Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC-A) and has been a part of the Southlake team since January 2022. Ashley graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2022 with her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She additionally earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from Western Carolina University in 2017. Ashley is passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ and Neurodivergent individuals and strives to uphold a person-centered, affirming space where each client feels validated in their individual experience. Ashley has worked with children, adolescents, and adults ages 10+ who are managing stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, low self-esteem and negative body image, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and communication/relationship issues. Ashley primarily practices from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), knowledgeably pulling from Feminist Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to supplement her strengths-based, collaborative approach. She appreciates the fortitude and patience that it takes to engage in therapy and wholeheartedly believes in her clients’ ability to achieve positive, lasting change. When Ashley isn’t in session, you can find her curling up with her two cats and a good book, painting, and spending time with her loved ones.
