Art Informed Group Therapy

Goals in Art-Informed Group Therapy:

  • Supporting ability to cope with personal changes
  • Providing an outlet for emotional self-expression
  • Reducing stress, anxiety, and depression
  • Increasing relaxation and meditation
  • Building confidence, self-esteem, and gratitude

Art therapy requires no prior knowledge of drawing or painting. Group sessions will often be messy, and paint may not come out of clothing. Clients may want to dress in comfortable clothing ( t-shirts and sweatpants or old jeans).
