Jojo Hoffman Skinner

Jojo Skinner is a 2020 Masters graduate from Pfeiffer University’s Marriage and Family Therapy program. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology, Summa Cum Laude, from Argosy University. Jojo received her license in Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT) and is dually licensed with additional licensure as a Substance/addiction therapist (LCASA). Jojo has worked with many populations, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, and offers the following unique specialties in addition to helping clients who are experiencing anxiety & depression she also assists clients with body image challenges, empaths and highly sensitive people, road rage, separation & divorce, addiction, pet grief and loss, and offers faith-based therapy. Jojo approaches her work with clients through the lens of Narrative, CBT, and DBT. Jojo currently works with Southlake Counseling in the Concord Mills area. Topics of exploration in therapy sessions might include parenting strategies, the impact of resentments, dual-career challenges, working from home together due to COVID-19, and stress management techniques. She believes when clients feel understood, they will naturally begin to heal by exploring their deepest motivations in life and begin to navigate the path forward. She remains curious about what clients want to change as well as what is going well in their lives.
