Alyssa Daughety

MSW, LCSW-A

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based south of Charlotte, NC. I received my bachelor’s in social work from UNC Greensboro in 2023 and went on to earn my master’s in social work from UNC Charlotte, where I focused on working with individuals. During my studies, I had the privilege of interning at Living Life Wellness Center as a therapist, where I gained invaluable experience working with adults facing a variety of mental health challenges.

I have worked extensively with individuals struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Throughout my career, I’ve developed a deep understanding of resiliency and how trauma affects a person holistically. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), always grounding my practice in a person-centered, strength-based approach. My work is rooted in empathy, unconditional positive regard, and a commitment to helping individuals—especially those in the LGBTQIA+ community, adolescents, and young adult women—navigate their unique struggles with compassion and support.

I am passionate about helping others become the best version of themselves, and I believe in the transformative power of healing and self-discovery. Outside of therapy, I am a creative-minded person who enjoys painting, journaling, drawing, and exploring other creative outlets, which I find essential in maintaining balance and connection with myself. I also love spending time with friends, family, and my dog, Poppy. I look forward to working with you on your journey toward growth, healing, and self-empowerment.
