Morgan Ellis

Morgan is a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA). She received her Master of Social Work in 2024 from Appalachian State University, concentrating on individuals and families. Before that, she received her Bachelor of Social Work in 2023 from Appalachian State University. She has experience working with children and young adults. During graduate school, she was a graduate assistant and intern with Appalachian State University as an Academic and Resilience Success Coach. In her undergraduate program, she worked with children facing adverse childhood experiences at Western Youth Network in Ashe County, NC. Through these experiences, Morgan has become knowledgeable in empathy and active listening, understanding the impact of trauma, resilience, and strength-based approaches, holistic support, building growth mindsets, and mental health awareness. Morgan works from a solution-focused approach as well as trauma-informed therapy. She believes that clients should be seen through a lens of potential and resilience, emphasizing their inherent strengths, abilities, and resources. While Morgan is not working or learning she is spending time with friends and family, especially her dog, Bolt. She also loves to travel and explore new places.
