Kristen Morton

Kristen is a North Carolina board-certified Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC-A). She received her Master of Science degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from West Virginia University. She additionally received a Master of Science degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from University of Greenwich in London, England and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Kristen has prior experience working as a mental performance coach where she assisted athletes/performers with various concerns including performance anxiety, low confidence, negative self-talk, and difficulties regulating emotions. She also has experience working with individuals with depression, anxiety, bipolar, trauma, and substance use disorders. Kristen practices from an integrative approach and primarily utilizes elements of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to meet the unique needs of each client. She works with adults and adolescents (ages 14+) with various mental health conditions and concerns including depression, anxiety, self-esteem, stress, trauma, life transitions, body image, and sport performance.
