Hannah Pegram

MSW, LCSW

Hannah is a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and also has her School Social Worker license. She obtained her Master of Social Work in 2020 and her Bachelor of Psychology in 2018 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Hannah is also foundationally trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and serves as co-lead in the Charlotte in-person group. She has experience working with children, teens, and adults. During graduate school, she interned with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools as a School Social Worker and with Atrium Behavioral Health in Davidson as a Psychotherapist. Hannah created her own mentor program focusing on empowering 5th grade girls by developing self-love, confidence, ambition, and discussing positive role models which eased the transition to middle school. This has blossomed into a self-love group for women 18 and older at Southlake. Hannah also has experience with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, lack of social/emotional skills, domestic violence, low self-esteem, trauma, and life transitions. She has also worked with children dealing with behavioral and attachment issues, adolescents with autism, adults with suicidal thoughts and mood disorders or personality disorders, and families experiencing homelessness. Hannah tends to utilize a person-centered strengths-based approach and pulls elements from a variety of modalities such as psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, gestalt therapy, logo-therapy, solution-focused therapy, and feminist therapy. Her goal is to guide the client in exploring the root of problems in order to assess what the client’s needs are to be successful. She strives to create a safe-space and make the client feel like an equal. Her approach is meant to empower and encourage the client. She encourages clients to inquire within while also considering outside forces that may be influencing the current problem. In her free time, Hannah enjoys yoga, gardening, napping, Peloton cycling, reading, hanging out with friends, and of course watching Netflix.
