Channel resiliency through creativity in a supportive environment where participants can explore and express their emotions through various artistic mediums.
Program Overview
Art-Informed Therapy is a group class designed to help individuals develop healthy processing skills and heal in a safe place through creative expression. We create a space for everyone to be vulnerable, use their art to uncover symbols that are prevalent in their lives, and find a way to bring beauty and light to even the darkest parts of their lived experiences.

How Does It Work?
Studies have found that creating art stimulates the release of dopamine in the brain. Through art therapy, participants outwardly express any emotions or experiences that may be weighing on them to help them start living happier, healthier lives.
Each group member will have an opportunity to share in the group discussion and will also receive individual assistance in the creative process. Participants will be encouraged to look for the deeper meaning within the art they are creating during group sessions. This will help them heal in areas where they may have been unaware they were hurting.
Benefits of participating in Art-Informed Group Therapy:
- Improved Individual Healing and Growth
- Better Communication with Others
- Improved Stress Management Skills
- Increased Self-Esteem
- Enhanced Inner Strength

Who should take Art-Informed Group Therapy?
This group is open to anyone aged 16 years old or older who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, or who has experienced past trauma.
What should I wear?
We encourage all participants to dress in something comfortable and that they can get dirty. Aprons will be provided, but we don’t want you to hold back your creativity at all, so expect to get messy and go home with a few paint splatters!

There is no artistic experience necessary for this group. The goal is not about making the art look pretty, but about putting a brush to canvas and letting your emotions drive the art. The final product is not nearly as important as the process to get there, and we truly just want you to use this time to dig deep and release whatever is weighing on you.
