The Southlake Center Wellness Program is not just one program. It is many programs – as many as those who come to us seeking wellness. We do, however, have certain wellness-based services that we recommend as cornerstones for building your personalized wellness program.

Be Well: WellPeople Wellness & Life Coaching

The Southlake Center is honored to offer you the chance to participate in the Be Well: WellPeople Wellness Inventory & Life Coaching program. You will begin by taking the WellPeople Wellness Inventory. The Inventory assesses your state of balance in twelve key areas of life, and identifies areas where you possess a strong motivation for personal change. The Inventory results are then used to create your Personal Wellness Plan, which provides the benchmark from which you can work with your Wellness Coach to develop and practice skills-building tools for achieving your personal wellness goals.

WellPeople Wellness Inventory

To bring about changes in our state of personal health and wellbeing, it is important to look at ourselves as a whole person—in body, mind, and spirit.

The Wellness Inventory is a “whole person” assessment and lifestyle program designed to help you gain personal insight into your state of physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness. The program offers guidance and tools to transform this new awareness into lasting changes in your life, and a renewed sense of health and wellbeing.

The program, based on the work of wellness pioneer, John W. Travis, MD, MPH, identifies your areas of strength, the specific areas in which you are most motivated to change, and guides you in creating a wellness action plan based upon your results.

Finally, the Wellness Inventory provides tools, resources, services to help you reach your wellness goals and bring more balance into your life.

Child & Adolescent Wellness through Full of Ourselves: A Wellness Program to Advance Girl Power, Health, and Leadership (FOO)

FOO is a dynamic girls’ health and wellness program is designed as an 8-week girls’ group study curriculum that has been proven to reduce the risk for disordered eating in girls (grades 3-8). Girl graduates show noticeable improvement in the areas of self-esteem, body acceptance, healthier eating and exercise habits, leadership, media literacy, mental and physical health, and emotional coping skills. Each unit of study offers girls a “Call to Action” to implement what they have learned at home, in school, and in the greater community. Older girl graduates have the opportunity to train to become peer mentors to younger girls. The Southlake Center is pleased to offer the FOO curriculum to area schools and at the Southlake offices courtesy of Dr. Catherine Steiner-Adair, the program creator.
