The Southlake Center’s Nutrition Program program has four components: individual sessions with your assigned nutritionist, M.E.A.L. support, group support, and nutritional education opportunities. During your initial assessment and consultation, we will work with you to mix and match the specific components that are a good fit for your nutrition, health, and wellness goals.
Individual Nutrition Sessions
During your individual nutritional sessions, your dietician will work with you to assess your current eating habits and patterns, identify areas of concern, and craft an individualized nutritionally-balanced meal plan that supports you as you work towards achieving whole-body wellness. Your individual sessions offer you one-on-one support for mental and emotional as well as physical issues that are a natural part of any nutritional wellness recovery effort. Your dietician may also recommend that you participate in M.E.A.L. and therapeutic group support on an as-needed basis.
One of the most powerful and unique aspects of the Southlake Center’s personalized nutrition programs is our Mindful Eating and Learning (M.E.A.L.) Support program. Whether you are currently in outpatient care, an intensive program, or simply need extra support, you are invited to join us in the Southlake Center kitchens for lunch from 12-1:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and dinner from 5:30-7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You will bring and prepare your own food in the company of a professional support team and your peers. Following each meal, you will have 30 minutes of supervised process time to discuss your emotions and experiences. M.E.A.L. Support is the perfect opportunity to experience mealtime as the recovery triumph it truly can be!
Developing long-lasting, effective treatment solutions to nutritional imbalances is an area where the Southlake Center has longstanding, demonstrated expertise and success. Our skilled and compassionate licensed counselors are continually developing new group offerings to meet your needs. Each of our therapeutic group support services is available to you as an added support to outpatient counseling or as a part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
