When you are making progress and no longer need acute inpatient treatment, but yet find that you need more support than intensive outpatient or outpatient treatment provides, The Southlake Center EDP program is the perfect solution for your recovery needs. Throughout your participation, we will provide you with a safe, private, confidential space to connect with peers and professionals as you process triggers, build and practice new healthy coping skills, regain confidence and self-esteem, and prepare to return to your daily life in triumph over your eating disorder!

Continuous Care

Our EDP program is carefully designed to allow you to retain a degree of connection with your daily life activities even as you receive continuous daily care. During your enrollment in the Southlake EDP program, you will be with us for five week days from 12:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Depending on your unique recovery needs and goals, you can plan to be with us from three to six weeks as you complete the program.

Multi-Disciplinary Treatment Team

While enrolled in The Southlake Center EDP program, your care will be provided by a highly trained, experienced, multi-disciplinary treatment team that will always include a Master’s Level therapist, psychotherapist, psychiatrist, and registered dietician. Your Southlake treatment team will work in partnership with your own primary care physician at all times while you are attending the EDP program.

Nurturing and Restorative Nutritional & M.E.A.L. Support

You will find that one of the most empowering parts of your journey with us is the comprehensive meal support you receive through your participation in our unique M.E.A.L. (Mindful Eating and Learning) program. M.E.A.L. support is offered to you during all meals and snacks and includes 30 minutes of post-meal and snack process time with professional and peer support.

Comprehensive Assessment & Individualized Support

When you enter The Southlake Center EDP program, you will receive an initial assessment with a psychiatrist, with follow-up meetings as needed, and an initial assessment with a registered dietician, followed by once-per-week meetings. These services are included in addition to your twice weekly meetings with your individual therapist.

A Rich Array of Ancillary Services

Best of all, you can avail yourself a wide variety of therapeutic support groups and activities, including but not limited to Journaling & Self-Expression, Yoga & Movement Therapy, Equine Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Twelve Step-based, as well as experiential therapy for self-esteem, body image, interpersonal relationships, assertiveness, nutrition, stress management, life balance, and emotion regulation.
